An American-Style Turkey Dinner, Abroad

Yesterday I did the unthinkable. I made my very own turkey, and since pre-packaged stuffing isn't available outside of the States, I also prepared stuffing and a green bean casserole... from scratch! The stuffing wasn't super difficult, but the green bean casserole was way more challenging than I expected. Making the sauce from scratch was probably the trickiest (and most time consuming) part. Then I served "Preiselberren" sauce as a substitute for Cranberry sauce... it was great!

Best of all, although it fed six adults, we still have plenty of leftovers from the turkey. Yay! My plans for the remaining meat are:
Day 1 - BBQ Pulled Turkey Sandwich
Day 2 - Pulled Pork Soft Tacos & Quesadillas
Day 3 - More yummy BBQ Pulled Turkey Sandwiches.

Tobi thinks I'm a bit crazy for my zealous approach to the leftovers... I guess it's an American thing.
