Back on the Farm (in Holland)

How great it is to be able to say that we're "back on the farm"... in Zeeland, that is. Life here is comfortably slow. We work out in the morning, take a nap at Noon (one of us, anyway), walk the dog in the afternoon, and prepare dinner at dusk. Somewhere in between, I find some time to write, lazily surf the net, catch up with friends and family, and spend "quality" time with the "baby".

But today... today, we got a special surprise visit from a friend of a friend, who lives just down the street from us. Her two-and-a-half year old daughter and Lukas had nearly as much fun as our pet did Labradors together, and when it came time for her to go, her dog couldn't believe he had to leave his new friend behind. Even luckier was Lukas, who was treated with a goodbye kiss from his new girlfriend. It was so cute.

So even lazy days at home can bring special surprises.
But alas, the time for doing nothing has past - it's high time for our afternoon walk.
