Flight Day

The flight anxiety reared its ugly head again this morning, albeit briefly.
But I'm not going to let it effect my trip. Afterall, my life depends on travel. It's essential to my being.

And yesterday, our last day in Holland, was the most perfect day. There's nothing bad I can write about it. We went to McDonald's for lunch, had rediculously unhealthy, yet tasty food, Lukas got to play, and I enjoyed watching him and Papa as they tinkered with the little children's games on the wall. Then we got home and went on a long, peaceful, family walk with the dog - through the countryside and back into town, before returning to the farm to feed the animals and resume packing.

Tobi made dinner - a roasted chicken dish in tomato sauce. Yum! Then we just goofed around in the living room... watching Lukas laugh and be silly... relishing his eyes - full of expression and joy.

And today, today we have a big adventure! This will be the first time that I fly without being able to nurse (or breastfeed) Lukas. I know he's almost 2, and we flew in August, so you do the math... but it sure was convenient on those take-offs and landings!

I think Lukas is going to get a big kick out of flying, since he's more aware now than he was just 6 months ago.

Well, enough procrastinating. I'm off to do some last minute packing.
Keep well!
