Impressions of Brugge, Belgium

Lukas, my toddler and travel buddy, joined me on a search for adventure today, and we ended up 91 km from home, in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Brugge, Belgium.

UNESCO describes the Historic Centre of Brugge as:

An outstanding example of a medieval historic settlement, which has maintained its historic fabric as this has evolved over the centuries, and where original Gothic constructions form part of the town's identity.

Above are our images - a sort of Brugge-Through-Liz's-Eyes collection. Words just can't do it justice, but then again, perhaps my crude photography skills are equally as inept. I guess the only way for you to really know, is to go, but if that's not an option, stay tuned for a more in-depth account of Brugge's magic here on the blog.
