This week, we enjoyed our first pond-side dinner here on the farm. I prepared a Milanese pasta dish, substituting pork for veal, and serving it with a salad of rocket (ruccola), melon, and parma ham. The little deck area is really picturesque, because it's sandwiched between the horse padock, orchards, pond, and an enormous old weeping willow.If you ignore Lukas' grumpy face (Mama & Papa made him get out of the drivers' seat to come and eat dinner)... you can see how very peaceful and serene it is here on the farm, and can imagine how nice it must be to eat outside (weather permitting). We hope to have lots more sunny days (and evenings) now that summer has officially arrived!
