Bantry Bay Blues

Here in Bantry Bay, everyone's outside, especially on the weekend. Steep hills lead plumet into the sea, and waterfront footpaths accommodate joggers, walkers, and the occasional snoozer. It reminds me a bit of San Fransisco, only on one side is the icey-blue ocean, lined with ancient, sea-eroded boulders, and on the other, the iconic Signal Hill.

Of course I'm happy that I finally made it out on a walk here in Bantry Bay, but there's no escaping it... the vacation has come to an end, and in a matter of hours we'll be sitting on that plane again, headed back to the winter-plagued continent of Europe.

To be fair, it hasn't all been fun and games. Traveling with children never is. We've had our share of fatigue-inspired temper tantrums, and can only hope to find the child that we left with when returning home.

I do plan to post some of our favorite vacation photos over the next couple days. Terrible-two's aside, it's been an incredible trip. Can't wait to share more with you!

Signing off from sunny Cape Town,
