Passports with Purpose - Build a Village, Win a Prize!

Dear friends and family, I have some exciting news for you! I've decided to donate my time and travel expertise to raise money for this year's Passports with Purpose initiative. The winner will receive a 5-hour guided tour of Nuremberg, Bamberg, or Munich, with pick up and drop off at a Nuremberg area hotel and/or the Nuremberg airport. The tour will be catered to the winner's interests -- i.e. family travel, Renaissance art, modern architecture, history, etc. As the tour guide, I'll learn as much as humanly possible about that particular city in advance, then share that knowledge with my visitor(s).

Here's a sneak peak at what we could visit:
Nuremberg: On a "Buildings and Monuments" tour, we might see the fabulously preserved 1000-year-old castle, Weißer Turm or "White Tower" (which is now brown), Main Market Square with it's much loved "Schöner Brunnen", and the old city wall.

Bamberg: Everything -- afterall, the entire old town is UNESCO World Heritage listed! Important sites: the cathedral, monastery, old city hall with it's impressive mural, and charming little cobblestone streets.

Munich: From the famous "Hofbräuhaus" to the elegant Frauenkirche, sprawling English Garden, and musical Marienplatz, Munich has so much to offer.

Now, let me tell you more about the Passports with Purpose project. Each year, participating bloggers offer great prizes. Then, with each $10 donation, participants increase their chances to win one of many great prizes. So for just $10 you could win a 5 HOUR PERSONALIZED TOUR of one of three great German cities!!!

Last year, we were able to raise $30,000 to build a school for underpriveldged children in Cambodia. Now this year, with your help, we'll raise $50,000 to build an entire village in rural India through our partnership with Friends of Lafti (and organization dedicated to helping India's "untouchables").

So, dear family and friends, whether you live here or are planning a trip out to our "neck of the woods", please contribute to this cause, and have you're name entered into the drawing for you're very own personalized tour.
