Affection seems to go hand and hand with "clinginess" at this age. Lukas has become more "Mama Oriented", which is actually kind of sweet, since he's also snuggling really close to me and just loves to be held by mommy. It actually started on the Thursday that we left South Africa (so he's been very lovey for a week now). I thought it was just because he wasn't feeling well (he had a really high fever), but he's feeling better now, and is just as affectionate.
Despite this new development, he's still really good about going to other people, especially if I'm out of sight. Today we met my Uncle Paul and Grandmother for lunch and shopping. I was surprised at how much Lukas seemed to enjoy being held by Paul! He loves his "Grandmama" too... and she has a little French song that she sings to him about riding to Paris on a horse.
Well, I have to get ready for the next surprise now. I'll be able to tell you more about it tomorrow!

P.S. We miss Tobi lots, and Lukas nearly went insane when he saw him on the computer yesterday, but couldn't touch him! Poor guy. Not too much longer before we see him again, though!
