Weekend (in Holland) in Review... and Week in Planning

Sleeping in, a bit of shopping, some cleaning, time for play, and a full day at an international tennis tournament. I'd say we packed a lot into our weekend.

The tennis tournament was the Ordina Open, just outside the town of Rosmalen, and with our corporate VIP pass, we got a fantastic parking spot, ideal "box" seating just behind the players, great food, and free drinks throughout the day. Not at all a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon! The tournament was well-organized and the professional players were fun to watch... don't think you can expect more from a tournament, and it most definitely made me long to pick up that racket again!

I'll add photos of the weekend later, but for now, let me tell you what we have in store for the next few days...

-This afternoon we'll head out to Belgium (the Antwerp-area) to meet some friends

-Tomorrow we're expecting a home-visit from "Kraamzorg Zeeland", and organisation that will provide a week of home support once the baby arrives (which is standard here in The Netherlands)

-Wednesday morning we're meeting a friend for coffee at the Heuvelhof Gardens (which she owns and runs), and in the afternoon we'll be heading out to Rijswijk, a suburb of The Hague, to visit the Dutch IND, or Immigration and Naturalisation Department. After we've taken care of "business" and straightened out out our visas, we'll meet friends for dinner and drinks... to celebrate!

-Thursday morning I'm going to spend some time writing, and in the afternoon we'll meet friends at the Kideboerderij Klepperhoeve (a popular petting farm) in Middelburg. Since it will be our first visit there, we're very much looking forward to it!

-Friday is our last visit to "Muziek op Schoot" (in Goes) this term, and in the afternoon we'll probably laze around, recovering from the weeks activities. :-)

So stay tuned to read more about our upcoming adventures. And in the meantime, have a great week!
